Six Theta® Certification Levels

Background 
Six Theta® is the R&D department’s equivalent to Six Sigma. In other words, where the production process (Six Sigma) cultivates the ability to minimise deviations, and thereby achieves a Six Sigma- quality product, it is the research and development department’s job to develop predictable products that are insensitive to the deviations.


Six Theta® design conveys concrete methods, tools, metrics and processes that enable the respective engineer, his team and the entire organisation to systematically and controllably change the way in which we are currently designing. This process results in more predictable designs that are easier to develop, cheaper to produce and, more reliable in relation to the manufacturing as well as the end user.


The program is based on the latest research in the field of learning, and focuses on developing competences by solving one’s own projects with the help of higher-level Six Theta® design- certified engineers.


The Six Theta® design programme is aimed at the mechanical engineer who wants to get more proficient at designing, the manager who wants to become better at managing projects and the organisation that wants to increase the performance and controllability of the product development process, which includes manufacturing equipment.
 

Six Theta® Green Belt Certified

Purpose
The purpose of the Green Belt is to enable the engineer to understand and analyse products and subsystems based on Six Theta® methods and design principles in order to increase the robustness of products.

 Purpose
The purpose of the Black Belt is to enable the engineer to develop robust solution designs based on Six Theta® methods at level 1, 2 and 3 for predictable product development.

 Purpose
The purpose of the Master Black Belt is to enable the engineer to develop robust system design based on Six Theta® methods at levels 1, 2 and 3 with the aim of creating coherence across product platforms.

 Purpose
The purpose of the management training is to enable managers on all levels to communicate with Six Theta® practitioners in an effective manner and make data driven decisions.
