In Valcon Design, we have a vision to remove design waste from products worldwide. We want to improve engineer competences and knowledge about good design, thereby facilitating a better development, production and user experience. Why do we want this? Because we strive for the ideal product engineering.
Our starting point in everything we do is based on a fundamental understanding of geometry and its behaviour. We rely on the engineer and know that a thorough and methodical approach with the right tools gives the best results and a far more efficient engineering process which is both time-saving and cost-saving. We believe in predictability, traceability, measurability and controllability. And we want to teach others how to do it right first time.
We do this by introducing the Six Theta® methodology in product engineering, enabling engineers on an international scale to implement compliant design in their production. The method is to make the geometric design of components as simple as possible to make them more robust and resistant to frictions, pressure, temperature fluctuations and other over-constraints that may affect the functionality of the product. We teach and engineers the method in our Six Theta® training/certification programme, and we make ourselves available as task forces, we produce lighthouse cases, and we have our own production, thus additionally materialising the method in tangibles.
The Six Theta® methodology has been developed by Valcon Design over a period of 10 years. One of our first major Six Theta® design implementations was with one of Denmark’s leading companies, the health care company Novo Nordisk. Today, our client portfolio includes leading European companies within automotive, aerospace, defence, medical devices, consumer products, machine elements, energy, etc. It has been tested on more than 500 different products, and the method has proven applicable across industries, products and components.
